Frequently Asked Questions

What days do you offer delivery?

We offer delivery on orders placed by 12:00 pm the previous day Tuesday-Friday. We hope to open same day delivery and delivery to Saturdays in the future, but in store shopping or Friday delivery is the best option if you need weekend flowers.

How do I know if you deliver to my address?

We deliver within 10 miles of our Downtown Bloomington shop. Enter your address at checkout to see if you are within our delivery radius.

How should I care for my flowers?

There are many mythical tricks to increase the longevity of flowers. The truth is, they are a perishable product. They remind us to stay in the moment, but here are our tips to keep them looking their best.

  1. Check the water level upon their arrival. Keep it filled and make sure all of the stems are under water. Flowers are thirsty and drink a lot every day!

  2. Keep them out of direct sunlight and away from extreme temperatures.

  3. Trim the stems about 1/4 in. every 3-4 days. This will help the flowers take up water and stay hydrated.

How long should I expect my flowers to last?

Our flowers have been properly conditioned to last as long as they can, but all flower types have different longevity. Some last only a couple days and some can last up to 3 weeks. Generally, our arrangements last about a week.

Do you have a guarantee policy?

We guarantee our flowers for 48 hours. If you are having trouble after properly caring (see above) for your flowers, call us and we will help you troubleshoot. If you are still having trouble, we will replace the stems if necessary.

Why are your flowers so expensive?

We like to use this metaphor. You can go to the grocery store and buy flowers to arrange yourself, just as you can buy a steak at the grocery store and cook it yourself or buy a canvas and paint it yourself. But there are times (many!) where you want something more, so you order flowers from a trained professional, go out to a restaurant where a professional chef will cook the steak to your liking or buy a painting from an artist that speaks to you. Yes, professional florists are trained artists, just like chefs and painters!

There are so many costs that go into the production of flowers. We acquire them after they have been tended by farmers (sometimes for almost a year!) and then we process, design, package and deliver them to you. Because we prioritize local (and regional!) flowers, flower costs are higher in the U.S. due to our labor laws. Add in hard goods, rent, utilities, labor, insurance, etc. and you get an expensive end product. We put a lot of intention and love into everything we do and hope you feel it when you receive our flowers.

What is "“sustainably focused”?

There are many definitions of sustainable, but to us it means-

We are a no-floral foam studio.

We use reusable mechanics and recyclable materials.

We prioritize local and regional flowers.

We compost all of our green waste.
