Mood Wedding

The Mood’s were my first official wedding on my very own! After freelancing the previous fall and doing a couple small weddings, I felt confident enough to take on a bigger event. Bailey was a couple years younger than me in school and so when she asked if I could do the flowers for her big day, I was so excited!

She had a really fun color palette -peach and sage green - and I loved starting off with lots of color. She really wanted most of the peach to come from the flowers so I had a lot of fun tying in some brighter and lighter peaches, blushes and hints of white.

Bailey asked for personals, florals for a Triangle arch, greens for tables and a few extras.

I did a foam free installment on the triangle arch made only with chicken wire and zip ties. I chose hardy varieties that I knew would stay fresh out of water throughout the night.

I was the first vendor to set up that day and I have to admit, it was nice to have the place to myself so I could get my bearings and get everything done without watching eyes.

The only downside to this approach is that I didn’t get to see the Bride’s reaction to anything! Luckily, she was very happy with everything and I was so proud of how everything turned out. One down!

I’ll be sharing more of my past work here in the journal. Thank you for following along!
